Hi parents! This is a great time for teenagers to start thinking about summer employment! Both the Elkins Y and the Elks will be hiring lifeguards and swim instructors for the summer break. I'm sure Buckhannon and Philippi have the same need for guards too.

We are hosting a lifeguard certification class at the Y on April 28th, 29th, and 30th with Red Cross instructors Chris Davis and David Shepard. The certification is good for two years and participants must be 15 years old and pass a swim test (no prob for our area swimmers). See the Y's site at www.elkinsymca.com for more info.

This is a great opportunity for your kids to earn some money, plus also support the next generation of young swimmers who may choose to one day participate in our area swim teams. So, please check out this opportunity!!
